So, you may be asking, why is pH so important in gardening? It is because the acidity or alkalinity of the soil directly affects plant growth. You will notice that your cut flowers will last almost twice as long than using regular tab water. Using the weak acid water produced by a majority of water ionizers can enhance a wide variety of fruits and vegetables such as tomatos, potatoes, carrots, eggplant and a wide variety of other foods.

Additionally, because weak acid water is an oxidizing water, plants use this in much the same way that it uses carbon dioxide to produce oxygen. For this reason, it is helpful to remember that some plants will do better with acid water because of the abundance of the hydrogen (+H). Mineral nourishment is what ultimately helps with the overall health of the plant.
In addition to sunshine and good soil, your plants will need water that does not contain contaminants such as bacteria and chlorine, which could harm the plants and provide a risk for eating. There has been much research and study for agricultural uses of this ionized water in Japan. In Japan, there are some growers who use strong acid and strong acid waters for a number of uses on there crops.
