How Ionized Water Can Benefit Your Pets & Livestock!

Animals have an innate ability to differentiate what they need. Most pet owners are unaware the damage they are doing to fido when they serve them tap water or in many cases even bottled water. In the case of tap water, chlorine, chloride, fluoride, heavy metals and many damaging chemicals are present thus causing damage to your best friend.

Our dogs and cats are important to us and are prone to some of the very same ailments and diseases as us humans. As a matter of fact, the cancer rate has skyrocketed for our beloved furry friends to where it is now 1 in 5. Therefore, finding a safe, natural and affordable solution is at everyone's best interest.

Our animals also have a very fast metabolism and thus react much better and at a faster rate to Alkaline Ionized Water. It has been observed that dogs and cats alike prefer a bowl of this water over a bowl of tap water when placed side by side.

Based upon research and testimonials, ionized alkaline water has been shown to drastically improve the health of our pets as well as livestock.

As a real case example, there was a study conducted on a Japanese poultry farm some years ago, in which there were 20,000 chicks in building A and 20,000 chicks in building "B". Both groups of chicks were given the same amount and type of feed, however, group "B" was given ionized alkaline water. It was found after several weeks that the birds in group "A" with normal ground water had a lower survival rate of 94.5% while the chickens in group "B" that were given ionized alkaline water had a higher survival rate of 99.3%. It was also found that the chickens that were given the ionized alkaline water weighed 1720 grams vs. 1590 grams of the ground water chicks. Throughout the study, there were no other alternations between the two groups of birds with the exception of the ionized water. It seems self evident from this test that ionized alkaline water had a dramatic affect on the overall health of the chickens. Whether you have chickens, other livestock or even a cat or dog, supplying them with ionized alkaline water will make them healthier.

Here are a few testimonials of pet owners who have given their furry friends alkaline Ionized Water.

My cat Bruce became very badly constipated a couple of summers ago when he failed to come home for about two days during an intense heat wave. It cost hundreds of dollars to have the problem treated by the veterinarian who said he probably became very dehydrated and that that would've contributed to, if not caused the constipation. To keep it from happening again it was important to make sure Bruce drank enough water. As it is with cats and anything that's not their own idea, this was difficult to do. I discovered that when I offered him freshly ionized water in a ceramic bowl he often drank much more than previously. In my research I encountered the theory that since cats are small animals subject to predation themselves, they like to have their food caches (or food bowls) in a place separate from where they sleep or hang out and where they get their water.

The smell of the food could attract predators so they want to be farther away from it and also in terms of drinking water, the carcass could contaminate nearby water, so they are more likely to drink from somewhere farther away. This is an instinctive adaptation for them and likely adds to their stress when we ignore or are unaware of it. When I moved the water bowls to completely different rooms from the food, I noticed immediately that both cats and the dog now drank a lot more water. I also tried an experiment where I offered tap water and ionized water and they all three go for the ionized water first unless the ionized water was next to the food. In that case would often find them drinking older, staler water that was farther away from the food. Due to his bout of constipation causing some damage to his colon, Bruce is now more prone to become constipated so it's very important to keep him well hydrated.

Since giving him access to lots of ionized water in numerous places in the house, away from his food, he drinks lots and is doing very well. In fact at times when he sees me with a fresh glass of (ionized of course) water he will let me know that I should refresh his bowl by trying to drink out of my glass! Thanks for the opportunity to share this information with other animal lovers."

"My dog, Chester, is 13 years old and has his own powerful testimonies about his life improving since beginning to drink alkaline ionized water. Chester used to have a blue film over his eyes, and after being on this water, that film is gone! Gratefully, he has also lost 4 pounds. His energy is remarkably improved. He jumps and runs up and down the steps like he used to 5 years ago! Chester drinks and drinks this water. It used to be that he would drink two small dishes of regular water per day. Now he drinks about 5 or 6 dishes of alkaline water per day, and he drinks from the dish until the water is gone. It is as if he is craving the water. In fact, that is the first thing he does in the morning now. Instead of his old practice of first going to the door to go outside, now he goes to his water dish first and drinks and drinks."

"My dog is doing better, too. She is moving better, in less pain."

Water is an important but often overlooked nutrient for cows.

After the Japanese people were introduced to alkaline water and witnessed the positive health benefits and results were acquired through human consumption, the water was then introduced into dairy farms.

Alkaline water was used in place of tap water as the sole source of water for dairy cows. The results are detailed in the Pennsylvania Report!

Twenty seven dairy farms took part in the clinical study and a report from a group of veterinarians is included. The source of each descriptive benefit is identified at the introduction of the report.

Overall observations of Dairy Cows from the report!

1. Enhanced milk production by 18% - 28%.

2. Significant improvement in the quality of milk.

3. Strong feces and urine odors were eliminated.

4. Healthier skin condition.

5. Decreased injury to the udder.

6. Reduced diarrhea

7. Strengthening of the legs by 26 % increased bone density.

8. Improved appetite.

9. Able to decrease mineral supplements routinely supplemented to the diet

10. As a result of improved health together with denser bone, the productive life of the cows was extended.

11. Greater fertility rate and reduced stillbirths.

12. A noticeably increased appetite; no new supplements were added to their diet. Increase in appetite noted in older cows as well.

13. Food well digested.

14. A beautiful sheen on the cow's hair.

15. Higher fertility rate; higher pregnancy rate.

16. New-born calves fed with alkaline water matured quicker.

17. A dramatic increase in milk production.

18. Improved liver condition.

19. Strengthened legs.

20. Minimizing of sicknesses; tremendously improved health condition. There were fewer visits by vets.

21. No adverse conditions noted from consumption of alkaline water.

Increasing Dairy Milk Production With Electrolyzed Drinking Water --from "Medical News Today" --19 Mar 2008

Many different approaches are being used to increase milk production of dairy cows. A study recently completed by researchers at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (Penn Vet) indicates that improving drinking water through a technology created by EAU Technologies, has the potential to produce the desired results.

Penn Vet worked with EAU Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: EAUI), a leading provider of Electrolyzed Water - EMPOWERED WATER(TM) - for high- volume, business-to-business applications, for the controlled study. Dairy cows from Penn Vet's New Bolton Center campus were divided into two groups. One group's drinking water was electrolyzed, alkaline water and the control group was given regular well water. At the end of the 12-week test period, the Holstein cows showed an increase in milk production and an increase in milk fat content as well as a reduction in milk urea nitrogen.

"The electrolysis process improves the antioxidant and pH balance of the drinking water. The blood samples analyzed from the two groups indicates that the cows drinking the electrolyzed water showed differences in acid-base balance. We suspect that cows drinking the electrolyzed water had an increase in rumen activity and effectiveness; which in turn may explain the marked increased in milk butterfat," explained Dr. James Ferguson, Chief of Animal Production Systems, Department of Clinical Studies, New Bolton Center. "At the same time, the study indicated an increase in milk production for early lactating cows. The cows in the treated water group also drank more water and consumed about the same amount of feed. Bacterial Coliform levels within the EAU troughs also were significantly reduced."

The study is one of several EAU is conducting in a range of 30 to 3,000 herd dairies to measure the effectiveness of Empowered Water for milk production. As part of the Penn Vet study, in addition to the pH increase, EAU also developed a proprietary method of creating and controlling the level of measurable antioxidants in the water to better match the antioxidant conditions of a healthy cow's primary digestive system. And the EAU water also cleans the drinking water. Water samples collected from the troughs over the course of the study showed the EAU treated water was consistently negative for coliform organisms such as E. coli and other bacteria. Blood chemistry tests conducted also showed that blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, magnesium and chloride levels were lower in treated cows than those part of the control group.

"We know there are many factors that influence milk output and quality. By conducting tests in a variety of dairy settings, we believe we are gaining invaluable experience, application knowledge and acquiring accurate data to show that our Empowered Water(TM) can be an effective, natural solution, capable of impacting positive returns on milk and butterfat production. And, most importantly, benefit the overall health of the cow," added Wade Bradley, President and CEO of EAU Technologies. "This model directly mirrors EAU's business focus on providing our target industries, with high volume, robust and environmentally sound solutions."

The Penn Vet study is the first of the trial studies to be completed. Results will be published later this year. The remainder of the studies is expected to conclude over the next several months.
